Oops! J Sbu reveals maybe a little too much!
Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
Have you ever thought of a product or craved something to eat during the day and logged into Facebook only to see a pop up ad for it immediately?
J Sbu is convinced Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook are spying on him, because this has happened to him several times.

So, what is true and what is fiction?
Yes, Facebook tracks every website and app you visit whether you are on or off the social media platform. There is a way one can prevent this from happening, though.
East Coast Radio Lifestyle features the following tips if you are one of those people who doesn't want to have Facebook spying on your activities:
- Log in to Facebook.
- Go to settings.
- Scroll up to 'Your Facebook Information'.
- Under that section, click on 'Off-Facebook Activity'. You will see the websites you recently visited come up.
- Click on 'Clear History' which will disconnect off-Facebook activity history from your account.
- Click on 'More Options'.
- Click on 'Manage Future Activities'.
- Click on 'Manage future activities' again.
- Click on 'Turn Off'. This will ensure that Facebook no longer tracks your offline activities.
However, please note that this might take 48 hours before it is completely turned off. Also note that turning off the feature might prevent you from logging in to other apps and websites with Facebook.
J Sbu may have wanted to use this helpful information before some, shall we say, "questionable" ads popped up on his Facebook profile whilst he was logged on today.
Stacey was quick to point out the discovery, to which J Sbu claimed all was not accurate. Have a look at the screenshot of J Sbu's pop up ads:
After a lot of explaining from J Sbu's end, the team took their conversation to the airwaves to ask KZN what some of the strangest ads that they have had recommended to them are.
As predicted, the outcome was hilarious!
Stacey did not get off the hook that easily either... see what ads popped up on her feed below:
During the show, Stacey and J Sbu heard from KZN listener, Nompumelelo who shared the embarrassing moment in which her husband spotted a few questionable ads popping up on her phone.
