Mlaba is aiming for the stars after a stellar season.
Celebrating women in sport, Nick Tatham chatted to Nonkululeko Mlaba about her past and her very bright future.
After an influential season as a Momentum Protea, Mlaba is hoping to continue her growth as a cricketer and become an inspiration for young girls who are hoping to take up the game.

Mlaba, who hails from Ntuzuma and KwaMashu, began her cricketing journey as a fast bowler in an environment that didn't recognise girls playing cricket.

After developing a talent and pivoting into a spin bowler, the player known as 'Leftie' has developed into a world-beater in limited overs cricket in her fledgling international career.
Mlaba has risen to second on the official T20 International bowling rankings and is hoping to claim that number one spot as she looks to the new season.
