It's shower hour in the 031...
KZN, you have been warned!
While many head to the beach, rock some baggies or indulge in an ice-cream, there is predicted cold weather on the way.
The South African Weather Service (Saws) forecasts that from Wednesday the weather will start to get a little more chilly.
On Wednesday, they are expecting isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon and into the evening.
“Going into Thursday, that is when we’re expecting snow over the southern Drakensberg,” South African Weather Service (Saws) forecaster Odirile Modipa said.
So, for KZN, we’ve got a 30% chance of isolated showers and thundershowers across the province, but 60% along the coast and adjacent interior with that snow over the southern Drakensberg.- Odirile Modipa
It is predicted that the snow won't be as widespread as the last cold front.
“We have a warning for those areas stretching to Kokstad, Underberg, along those areas, the snow should be there,” Modipa said.
Many people around Mzansi expect that the weather should be clear for the weekend. "It looks unlikely that we will experience any severe weather over the next two days but anything is possible in Mzansi," shares one user.

During this time of year, it is normal to experience these kinds of conditions. We all know it's time to bust out the thick blankets and be fully stocked up on hot chocolate.
Temperature-wise, we’re looking at lows of about less than 10 degrees Celsius maximum for those areas and minimums dropping below zero, especially along those Drakensberg mountains. So extreme western parts - Underberg, Kokstad areas - those parts should be very cold, below zero for minimums. Maximums are not looking good. You’re looking at maximums of about 10-11 degrees Celsius.- Odirile Modipa
