Child safety is one of the most important issues in our current state of affairs.

One ECR listener brought to Stacey and J Sbu's attention that an unqualified and untrained individual was hired at her kid's aftercare centre.

This brought about an array of questions. What are the qualifications to be an aftercare worker, how much due diligence is done before people are employed, and should parents have a say in who gets hired?

Here's what KZN had to day:

In a ploy to make a fun video and possibly go viral on the internet, these daycare workers terrified the children in their care.

Five employees wore scary scream masks and began to terrorise the children.

Watch the incident unfold below:

This particular incident occurred in Lil' Blessings Child Care and Learning Centre in Mississippi, USA.

The masked daycare worker can be seen saying to the children: "Are you being bad? Do I need to take you outside?"

In an alternate moment, the “masked monster” can be seen bending down and screeching in a child’s face as the child shakes and cries in fear.
