Having a little extra cash as a kid is like finding a pot of gold. Those five or ten rands go a very long way for little ones all over KZN.
Whether it be a lemonade stand, washing cars or selling some sweet treats, there are so many ways to make some pocket money.
Stacey and J Sbu decided to call on the Kiddies Hotline to find out how East Coasters make their pocket money.

Making some extra pocket money comes in all shapes and sizes.
Here are some practical ways to make some cash:
- Request an allowance from parents
- Offer to complete special tasks at home
- Babysitting siblings or people in the area
- Washing cars
- Gardening
- Tutoring
- Selling small items
For people who are a bit older:
- Freelance writing
- Virtual assistance
- Data entry
- Translation jobs
- Taking surveys online
- Baking or prepping meals
Even as an adult if you have a hustle on the side that extra cash becomes a second income.
Who knows, maybe you could even pursue it as a job?
