Keeping up with The Normans!
Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
This past weekend, Stacey Norman finally had the opportunity to travel to Cape Town and be reunited with her family.
The effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the world, whether it be financial, mental, or emotional, has been well documented. For Stacey, whose family is based in her hometown of Cape Town, the hardest part of the lockdown has been the emotional toll of not being able to visit family and friends.

As of today, Monday the 29th of September, South Africa has been under lockdown for 187 days. As soon as the President announced that the country would be moving to level 1 lockdown with the further easing of restrictions, Stacey Norman immediately booked her flight to be reunited with the Norman tribe.
There are only so many video calls and text messages that one can do says Stacey.
I have missed my family terribly, there is nothing like the comfort of family in person, the warm hugs and kissess. Just being in their presence missed it so much especially being able to see my nana whom I adore so much!- Stacey Norman
For Stacey, it is the little things that matter, from lunch dates with Mama Norman that include playing footsie under the table to wholesome family dinners. Stacey is incredibly close with her mother, whom she considers her best friend. The two chat or speak at least a hundred times in one day and that's not an exaggeration!
The two women fitted in some shopping and lunch dates that included some bubbles, of course!

Not that she plays favourites, but the one person whom Stacey was most looking forward to seeing and giving warm hugs and kisses to was her Nana. It is seldom that you will ever hear Stacey speak of her Nana without her getting choked up, such is her endearment and connection with her.
Stacey does not take for granted how blessed she is to have her Nana still around and that is why she appreciates every minute she gets to be around her. We all know how incredibly precious our grandparents are!
Now, if you are at the Normans, there is one thing that you can almost guarantee - and that is there will be some four legged friends around!
Sadly for Stacey, the trip seemed to end too soon, but with South Africa being under level 1 lockdown now, she plans and hopes to spend more quality time soon with her family and friends.
What did you get up this weekend?
