"I have no idea how single parents cope" - KZN listener
Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
Can you help, KZN?
This week Stacey and J Sbu received a voice note from a KZN mom, Angie, who has some mom guilt.
She is currently juggling taking care of three boys as well as the house and herself.
She is battling between keeping up with work, school, exams, children’s extra mural activities, keeping a well kept home, and managing to get some sort of exercise in.

Angie needs some help but is terrified to ask.
In the past, her husband has been offering an alternative arrangement for Angie as they are able to afford help.
If I want to have a ‘productive day’ I would have to get up at 3:30 am every day, I hate complaining because I am truly blessed- and my husbands work allows us to live a life of privilege, he has been suggesting I get help in the form of an au pair and a helper but I have always prided myself in being a hands on mom.- Angie, KZN listener
Parenting.

We took to facebook to seek advice from KZN...
Many listeners around KZN have already chimed in with some advice for Angie.
- How do solo parents cope? We just get on with the job while being utterly exhausted. Often things fall apart, or are messy and everything moves at its own pace. You just do what is needed.
- We need to normalise asking for help, help is not a sign of weakness.
- Single mum for 5 years..Its a rollercoaster but worth it when you get hugs and kisses before bed. Yes I sometimes just want to give up but no way I will I let my baby down knowing I'm all she has...
- If u can afford help, I would get some.
- No help. You need to organise yourself and manage your time. You are a woman and should know how to multi task. You got this.
As you can see, KZN has many conflicting opinions about what Angie should do.
