Fans divided over news of Big Brother Mzansi's return after five-year hiatus
Updated | By Stacey and J Sbu
After much controversy, one of South Africa's biggest reality shows is back in action.
It's been five years since South Africans were last given the chance to get a look into the lives and times of the housemates that had to battle it out for a cash prize of R2-million.

For obvious reasons, this reality show was one of SA's most-watched series, but although it had been incredibly successful, it was not without drama as it was reported in 2015 that contestant Axola Mbengo (Bexx) was allegedly assaulted by fellow housemate Siyanda Ngwenya (Adams) while she was asleep.
Adams was kicked off the show after he claimed to have slept with Bexx, although she said that she did not give consent. She was also removed from the show amid concerns for her well-being.

After four good seasons, the show had allegedly run into further issues and had to be booted because of financial constraints, with the last winners being everyone's favourite couple Nkanyiso Ace Khumalo and Ntombifuthi Tshabalala.
Now, according to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela, 'Big Brother Mzansi' is making its comeback on DSTV.
