A 13-year wait is over...
Only in Mzansi can you send out a package and receive it a shocking 13 years later.
Sanja Hanekom got the shock of her life when she received a final notice from her local post office telling her to collect her missing parcel.
While the whole country hears her unique story, the only appropriate term used to describe this is "haibo!"

According to ECR NewsWatch, an investigation is currently underway for the snail mail case.

ECR NewsWatch shares: Sanja Hanekom collected the package from Kloof Post Office last week.
The family recently received two notices from the local post office about an inbound parcel. She says they were scratching their heads as they were not expecting any postal deliveries.
The package was sent from New York by her father in 2010. It was addressed to Hanekom's husband.

"I don't remember it at all. It was 13 years ago and I was not expecting that parcel from him at all. When I got a notification, I was expecting something tiny and mysterious. It wasn't on my mind at all. it was really shocking when it arrived."
The South African Post Office says it's launched an investigation after a Durban family's parcel was delivered more than a decade after it was posted.
SAPO spokesperson Suzzie Khumalo says the South African Post Office is only allowed to keep parcels for 60 days before returning them to where it was posted from.
