Exclusive: Amanda Black talks to Stacey and J Sbu about her powerful new album, 'Mnyama'

Award-winning singer, songwriter and performer, Amanda Black is back with a new body of work after taking some well-deserved time off.
With a voice that is mature and polished beyond her years, Amanda Black has released her much-anticipated album. If her first single is anything to go by, we are in for an iconic album.

Amanda Black has teamed up with the award-winning Afro-pop singer-songwriter Berita for this Woman’s Month. The song is titled “Ungayeki” and is comes off her third album, Mnyama.
The single is a soothing, therapeutic track that carries an uplifting message for music lovers.
Ungayeki talks about holding on and pushing through even when the odds are stacked against you. Even during these trying times - or the Mnyama (meaning darkness) - you will find that "something will change for you today, so keep on fighting… Xeli Ungayeki" moment, as she so inspiringly expresses in the song

Amanda’s new album Mnyama takes us through a series of emotions with songs like, “Kutheni Na”, stirring up questions of what is happening in the world around us and features popular rapper, Kwesta.

“Ndandihleli” is a heartbreak song, derived from an old school Xhosa hymn.
One of Stacey and J Sbu's favourite tracks off the album is 'Let Go'. They love it so much that Amanda sent them LIVE acoustic performance, which you can enjoy below:
