The Earth is hotter than ever while KZN remains cold

A new record has been set for planet earth...
We've all heard that the Earth is "super hot" on the inside, but there has been a scientific phenomenon where Earth experienced a new unofficial record of a high average temperature.
The recent scorching temperatures have made it the hottest period in the books!
While KZN holds tight on the cold front, the rest of the planet has caused people to take drastic measures to keep their cool.

Countries such as USA, Ukraine, Turkey, and Spain have seen people diving into bodies of water, making viral videos about hacks to keep a house cool, and more.
Stanford University climate scientist Chris Field said: “A record like this is another piece of evidence for the now massively supported proposition that global warming is pushing us into a hotter future.”
From 54 degrees celsius in California's Death Valley to 43 degrees celsius in Ukraine, people are boiling.

On July 4, the World Meteorological Organisation declared El Niño had begun, “setting the stage for a likely surge in global temperatures and disruptive weather and climate patterns".
