Cardi B calls out Wiz Khalifa for pitting her against Nicki Minaj
Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
It seems like the 2021 Grammy Award nominees announcement has sparked a feud between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, courtesy of rapper Wiz Khalifa.
Cardi B is shutting down a re-emergence of a feud with fellow rapper NIcki Minaj today. Cardi B, who is fresh from a history-making American Music Awards win, is not letting anyone bring her down.
As with any Grammy Awards nominee list announcement, there was a lot of drama.
The 'WAP' rapper shut down a feud-in-the-making when Wiz Khalifa seemed to start a beef between Cardi and Nicki Minaj. Reflecting on the 2012 Grammy Awards, Nicki Minaj had a Twitter rant in which she recalled how she had lost the 'Best New' artist award to the artist known as Bon Iver.
Minaj, who is a new mom, had this to say:
"Never forget the Grammys didn't give me my best new artist award when I had 7 songs simultaneously charting on Billboard & bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade—went on to inspire a generation,"- Nicki Minaj

Wiz Khalifa responded to Nicki Minaj's rant on Twitter, sharing that he knew how it felt to be snubbed by the awards show. However, it was the following comment made by Khalifa that had Cardi B fired up:
Most self made artists have this problem- Wiz Khalifa
Twitter users took it to mean that Cardi B isn't self made. Cardi B has one Grammy win from the eight nominations she has received, whilst Nicki Minaj, who has been nominated 10 times in her career, is yet to win a Grammy.
Cardi B was quick to pull up the screenshots from her Instagram that she received from Wiz Khalifa, sharing the following:
They really support you when you grinding at the bottom then it's a different story when you make it- Cardi B
Cardi ended off her clap back to Wiz Khalifa by stating how she doesn't understand why people "entertain tweets that pit successful women against each other," adding, "Ya not tired of that? Specially when ya was rooting hard when I was at the bottom."
We love to see it!
