BREAKING: Popular comedian and radio host Neville Pillay has passed away

It is with great sadness that East Coast Radio shares the news of the passing of Neville Pillay.
The news reached the East Coast Radio family late this Thursday evening.
Aside from gracing the airwaves on East Coast Radio and Lotus FM, Neville Pillay was also a popular stand up comedian and actor. Even though his cause of death has yet to be publicly shared, but t is believed that he passed away from COVID-related illness. It is well-known that Neville had been struggling with his health over the last few years.

He was just 45 years old.
Programming Manager at East Coast Radio, Zane Derbyshire shared the following on the very sad breaking news story:
On behalf of the team at ECR, I want to offer our sincere condolences to Neville’s family and friends during this incredibly sad time. The loss can feel immeasurable, but so can the love and admiration that’s left behind. The smiles, laughter and memories will become tools to push away the pain. On 20 September, Neville shared his final video on Facebook, sharing the state of his health after a decline in his oxygen levels.
As news of Neville's passing spread throughout the country, many of his friends, family and fans took to social media to pay tribute to him.
Neville was loved for his famous Top Dan comedy skits, also starring in the popular Kings of Mulberry Street and Curry and Vice.
He is survived by his partner, Karol and their daughters.
