Kindness as you find your new normal under lockdown
Updated | By Paul Bushell
In this week’s KindnessCan podcast, Jane Linley-Thomas and Paul Bushell reflect on 'the new normal' in week two of South Africa's national lockdown.
It’s been an emotional roller-coaster since the coronavirus invaded our lives and many of us have experienced a range of feelings over the last few weeks.
Jane and Paul make space for some of these feelings, and offer some tips on how to manage them better.
"They can either be a breeding ground or a stomping ground for fear and anxiety and overwhelming worry - which are all very tangible, real feelings - but on the flip-side of that, talking about how you can do things differently," says Jane.
"There are going to be so many different experiences, or accounts of this experience - because there are so many different emotions to be had right now... the anxiety, the fear, the worry, but then also having these moments of opportunity and wonder and quietness," adds Paul.
