LISTEN: Kindness in your career journey
Updated | By Paul Bushell and Di Macpherson
In
this week’s KindnessCan podcast, Jane Linley-Thomas and psychologist Paul Bushell talk about how to be kind when starting
your employment journey. Whether you're starting your job hunt or going into a
new job, keeping your head above water can sometimes feel like a challenge.
Managing your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are all within your
control.
"We've got to be prepared to roll up our sleeves sometimes and say, 'I'm going to start here, and this is what I'm working towards,' - and there's no shame in that,," says Paul, who adds that you also need to manage your own expectations around the process being a journey; ask for help when you need it, and find your 'power pose'.
