Updated | By Paul Bushell and Di Macpherson
In
this week’s KindnessCan podcast, Jane and Paul spend time talking with Jaci Mun-Gavin almost one year
after daughter, Kiara's horrific head injury in a freak accident in
Durban North on Christmas Eve.Jaci talks about that fateful day; Kiara's amazing recovery, and how kindness comes in different shapes and sizes on the journey of healing.
Kiara needed brain surgery and was placed in an induced coma following the accident. Swelling on her brain led doctors to expect the worst possible outcome and part of her skull had to be removed.
However, Kiara not only survived, but has been able to walk again and has not suffered any permanent brain damage.
In this week's KindnessCan podcast episode, Jaci talks about Kiara’s
accident, the aspirant ballet dancer's miraculous recovery, and how kindness comes in different
shapes and sizes on the journey of healing.
