Would you let your spouse attend the funeral of their lover?

Picture this: you are married and you and your partner, as with many marriages, are going through a rough patch. The cause of this has to do with your partner's infidelity.
Your partner has been having an affair behind your back. After a heated argument about this affair, your spouse storms off to see their lover.

Hours later you receive a disturbing call from your spouse who is frantic!
They have been involved in a serious car accident, so serious that the car is barely recognisable! You go into straight panic mode and ask your partner if they are okay and if there were any casualties.
They respond and say:
Yes, the passenger I was with.- East Coast Urban
Your partner was in an accident with their lover. The lover unfortunately did not make it out alive. Your partner is absolutely distraught.
A week later, your partner, who is still emotional about what has happened, asks you if he can attend or maybe help financially with the funeral.
