Teacher's photo frame deemed inappropriate by parents
Updated | By East Coast Urban
A picture frame has caused controversy in a school classroom.
If you work a traditional 9 to 5 job that has you behind a desk and computer for hours on end, you may need a little inspiration.
Most people often have quirky ornaments or a plant on their desks to give them much-needed inspiration and a piece of home that warms their hearts.
According to a post on Instagram by The Shade Room, a third grade teacher chose to display a loving image of himself and his partner on his desk. A few of his young learners were curious about who was in the picture. The picture in question has the teacher and his husband kissing each other.
Parents of the learners state that they have no issues with the teacher's sexuality but stated that he should not have the picture on his desk for the children to see. The parents escalated the matter to the principal of the school.
The post captioned 'Spill the tea' received over 75,000 likes and 35,000 comments, with many sharing their views on the matter.
We put a post on our Facebook page to find out what KZN had to say about. We wanted to know whether they agreed with the parents or did they think they are being homophobic?
Here's what some of them had to say...
