Should women stay in the kitchen

Bongani hasn’t washed his clothes or cooked a meal for the
family ever since he got married, but he has cut the grass, fixed the cupboards
and paid for most of it too.
The argument has raged on for years, men vs women and who should do what in the family household. Should women be left in the kitchen and should men be left with the heavy lifting?

We live in the 21st century and we are striving for equal rights everywhere. Same-sex couples have been able to lawfully marry in South Africa for years, Apartheid is over and men and women are all allowed to vote. But do we really need equal responsibility when it comes to household chores? I can’t remember the last time I cooked or cleaned, I wouldn’t even know what to do with the iron if you handed it to me. In my household, my wife does everything for me. Is this wrong? I don’t think so, I like coming home and my wife taking care of me. Call me chauvinistic if you want, I just prefer handling other things in the home but when it comes to cooking and cleaning? Leave that to my wife.
