Thabani Mbatha, who comes from KwaZulu-Natal, is reportedly claiming to be Zakes Bantwini's father.
According reports, the man announced that he wants to be reunited with his son before he dies. However, the singer is not impressed.
"Unfortunately, my mother passed away in 2007 and she's not around to answer these questions," Zakes said.
The hitmaker adds that he has three siblings, all from the same father, and that "none of us was born outside of marriage."
He says he has worked hard to be who he is. "And now that I am up there he pops out of nowhere and claims to be my dad. No- not at my expense," Zakes said.
But the man is certain that the musician is his son, and is even willing to do a DNA test. "I can even pay for it if that's what it takes."
