Nina Hastie is a 'shero' of note. She lights up our television screens with her beauty and leaves us in absolute stitches with her humour on SABC 3's show 'Trending SA'. Nina's life, however, has not been easy.
Nina has openly shared her story of being raped three times and her battle with drug addiction.

The comedian, writer, and TV host now gives motivational talks that are aimed at empowering women and letting them know that they can overcome anything.
Nina also battles with depression and anxiety and has had to deal with a tough upbringing, which included being ostracised by her family.
However, 2018 seems to be the year of Nina Hastie after a very successful sold-out, one-woman show.
Now we want to know what's next for the multi-talented star.
On Wednesday evening, East Coast Urban with Thandolwethu chatted to Nina Hastie about her past and what the future holds.
