Find out why Ricky is excited about Justin Bieber’s
remix with the “King of Reggaetón”, Daddy Yankee.
Justin Bieber just made Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s single, “Despacito” a bigger hit than it already was.
The 23-year-old lends his vocals to the song’s new remix, which is already getting massive attention from around the world.
“Despacito” became YouTube star’s biggest music debut of 2017 after garnering 20-million view in 24 hours after its April 16 release.
The video is currently sitting on over 37-miilion views.
The collaboration is also sure to give the reggaetón music genre millions of new listeners across the globe.
I was first introduced to reggaetón music during my travels around the world last year. Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with Jamaica or our friend Bob Marley.
It originated in Puerto Rico in the late 90s and is massive in Spain and Latin America. It was literally all I heard for two solid months as I spent time in Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, and even Miami. I became fond of it, because it has the sickest beat ever. It's also super easy to dance to in a nightclub, because all you have to do is bounce.
Shakira, JLo, Enrique, and Ricky Martin have all done reggaetón tracks, which are only really released or big in Spanish-speaking countries. So needless to say, I lost my mind yesterday when I came across this article and song that Justin Bieber has just released with the "King of Reggaetón", Daddy Yankee. I feel that since Justin has now latched onto this sound, the time is right to introduce you to it, because I mean, everybody loves Justin.
Carol is sold on it after hearing this, so I hope you like it too.
