Mike gets nostalgic about his first and last interview with Johnny Clegg

As a 19-year-old, I tried my best to appreciate the enormous privilege of interviewing Johnny Clegg by making a really powerful piece of radio.

I had the opportunity to chat with him ahead of what would be his very last tour, and I was simply blown away by how down-to-earth he was.

Here I was, almost a nobody in radio at that stage, and Johnny was more than happy to chat with me - sharing stories of the past, and even speaking a bit of Zulu.
