Watch Danny Guselli 'give birth' live on air
Updated | By Danny Guselli
Danny got the chance to experience the pain of childbirth and let's just say that it wasn't pretty!
On Friday during my show, I did a South African radio first. I gave birth live on air.
Now you're probably wondering why I chose to attempt this? Well, I just wanted an understanding of what women go through during childbirth and I got to experience it first hand during my show.

I was joined in studio by Westville based Gynecologist, Dr Jack Margolas who put a Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (Tens) machine on me. This machine stimulates the pains of childbirth but is also a method of pain relief by using a mild electric current (I'm not too sure how that works).
Obviously, this pain does not compare to what an expectant mother goes through in labour but it definitely gives a man an understanding of how it would feel. Prior to the experience in the studio, I was really nervous as I spent hours on YouTube looking at men who have attempted this before. When the simulation began, the pain was unbearable. It was a pain like I never felt before and was probably the most painful thing I've ever experienced in my entire life.
Although men are always perceived as being tough and macho, I've never been shy about being honest about my pain threshold. I've had many injuries in my life but this pain was something else. My respect levels for all woman who have given birth are through the roof and I genuinely feel that men cannot handle the pain of childbirth. I just don't know how women do it.
