East Coast Drive speaks to South African Democratic Teachers Union, Provincial Secretary Nomarashiya Caluza.

The biggest news from the past 24 hours has to be the fact that basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga has announced that schools will officially reopen for grade 7s and 12s on the 1st of June.

With everything happening and everyone having mixed feelings about the announcement, we thought it would be great to hear what the teachers union had to say about the decision.
The Drive team spoke to Nomarashiya Caluza, The South African Democratic Teachers Union Provincial Secretary to hear how the union feels.
She let us know SADTU's thoughts about the reopening of schools in 11 days and, what they still need to do in her view before schools can be deemed safe to operate.
