Hixonia Nyasulu is a proudly South African business prodigy. She received a BA in Social Work and an Honors degree in Psychology from the University of Zululand, and graduated from the Arthur D Little School of Management program in Massachusetts.

Regarded as one of the most influential women in business in South Africa, Hixonia is rapidly developing an international reputation as a board member with integrity and drive. A former Unilever employee, she has also founded three highly successful companies.

Hixonia’s career path:
- 1978: Joined Unilever South Africa - marketing
- 1984: Founded T.H. Nyasulu & Associates
- 1992: Began serving as non-executive director, various blue-chip organisations
- 1997: Participated IMD programme for board members Lausanne, Switzerland
- 2002: Board member NEDCOR Bank Ltd and non-executive director AECI (chemicals)
- 2003: Non-executive director Anglo Platinum Ltd
- 2004: Founded Ayavuna Women’s Investments2006: Appointed to South Africa’s Banking Enquiry Panel;
- 2006: Joins Board of petrochemicals giant Sasol Ltd, as well as subsidiary Sasol Oil
- 2007: Non-executive director of Unilever Plc/NV
- 2008: Chairman of global company Sasol Ltd
- 2012: Founder member: Advisory Group for World Economic Forum “Community of Chairmen” initiative
- 2016: Executive Producer: “H to the power of You”; Talent management and development
- 2018: Senior Independent Director: Vivo Energy Plc
Yup! It's safe to say that Hixonia is one dynamite of a lady balancing all those roles and still maintaining a great relationship with her family.
We could take a leaf out of Hixonia's book because she's definitely doing life right!
