Do we celebrate Day of Goodwill or Boxing day?
In South Africa, we're privileged to celebrate such wonderful pubic holiday's.
Like Christmas, another holiday the day after has also brought upon smiles to many people.

On the 26 December which is the day after Christmas is recognized as the Day of Goodwill but it's also recognized around the world as Boxing day.
While other places in the world celebrate the Boxing day holiday, many South Africans (including us here in KZN) wonder what is Boxing day and which public holiday do we really celebrate here.
According to Office Holidays, in South Africa, December 26th is a public holiday known as the Day of Goodwill.
However before 1994, the day was celebrated as Boxing Day.

Even though the name did change, the traditions of Boxing Day still remain for when it's summer in SA, the non-traditional Christmas activities such as going to the beach are popular.
So what is Boxing day?
It comes from people getting rid of empty boxes from presents after Christmas day.
According to Woman's Day.com, Boxing day is also described as a day where the wealthier people would box up presents as offerings for the poor.
