UPDATE: Dog rescued from the jaws of an alligator gets deputized
Updated | By Darren, Keri and Sky
This is a cute ending to a story that had our jaws on the floor when we watched the video in October.
Do you remember the story of the dog who was rescued by his owner when an alligator held him by the jaws in a pond?
The Cavelier King Charles Spaniel was three months old at the time and while playing at his owner's backyard the alligator left the water to grab him by the neck and back into the water. This quickly prompted his owner to jump into the water and pull the alligator's jaws apart to release the puppy.
Watch that dramatic video here.
And now, in a cute video, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed the puppy to the Deputy Dogs team.
The Cavelier King Charles Spaniel was sworn in as the Safety and Security Officer for Deputy Dogs this week.
