Darren Maule, Carmen Reddy, and Sky Tshabalala are very conscious of the fact that a vehicle licence must always be up to date, but they are not fans of standing in long queues to get it done.
"Imagine being in those huge traffic office lines that can get really intense, especially if you have forgotten a document! No thanks..." says Carmen.
That's why the trio are advocates for renewing online.
But how does one do that exactly?
Here are tips to save you time courtesy of the East Coast Breakfast team.

Register yourself on eNATIS
This is the first step and it is simple. Just register on the site with all your details.
Make sure to complete the application
You need your Vehicle license renewal notice (MVL2), if you received one. If you haven't one, complete an ALV (Application for Licensing of Motor Vehicle) form. Last thing, in some cases, you may have to supply a NCP form (Notification of Change of Particulars). But the process is easy to follow.

Pay when payment is due
When you have submitted the required documents, then you will need to make payment. A notification will come either via email or SMS. There will be a date by which you must make payment, so please don’t miss this date, otherwise you’ll have to start the process all over again.
Wait for 14 working days
It takes about 14 working days to complete the whole process. On the eNATIS and e-Services website, the application to renew your vehicle license online takes anywhere between three to five working days to be processed, and then delivery will take place.
