The East Coast Breakfast team treated like royalty at Grill Jichana Restaurant
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
The Breakfast Team enjoyed some fine dining at Grill Jichana Restaurant.
East Coast Breakfast was hosted by the incredible staff of Grill Jichana restaurant (inside Elangeni Hotel) on Thursday night.
Aside from Keri's food fomo (strictly no meat but eyeing Darren's gourmet chops) and Sky devouring 500g of rump, the team were treated to the best on offer off the very diverse menu.
There is a separate wine room (which Sky wants to use for a wine and dine evening - he won't reveal who with) and incredibly beautiful decor that will take you on a journey of note - Grill Jichana has the most ridiculous menu on offer.
The team ate duck, rump, prawns, mussels, snails - all with serious names that Darren couldn't remember, and tasted the best of the extensive wine selection.
"You know when you go to your friend's house and it looks really fancy, and you think sherbert... I hope I know which knife to use when... then you are nicely surprised by how relaxed you are made to feel and So not judged?! Ya, that was tonight. What a wonderful evening.
"I had the Norwegian salmon and it blew my mind. The chef was so chilled with my gluten and dairy free piscatarian diet, in fact I didn't feel like the dinner outkast for even a second. Oh and just so you know, the dessert and I are now officially 'in a relationship' on Facebook. 5 stars from me," Keri said.
It's a hidden gem in Durban and it's worth a visit.
Parking is free.
Food is incredible.
Staff are super friendly and helpful.
Oh, and you can win one of two R500 meal vouchers to Grill Jichana simply by telling us where the team ate. Yes, it's in this sentence.
