SAFA and Banyana Banyana are at odds
SAFA has taken a firm stance as World Cup players did not participate in a friendly match at Tsakane Stadium.
In a shocking turn of events, the South African Football Association (SAFA) recently announced its intention to ban the talented players of the national women's football team, Banyana Banyana, from representing the country.

According to a SABC Sport report, players threatened to boycott the international friendly, demanding to play at a better and more suitable venue, preferably a 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium.
The decision by SAFA to threaten the Banyana Banyana players with a return to their homes has left fans and experts baffled.
SAFA Football Business & Events Manager Mzwandile Maforvane gave an update regarding Banyana Banyana's match against Botswana at Tsakane Stadium just before the match had started.
The team, which has become a symbol of resilience and inspiration for aspiring female footballers, has achieved remarkable success in recent years, making strides in international competitions and capturing the hearts of fans across the globe.
However, it appears that their impressive achievements have not been enough to sway SAFA's stance.

The Tsakane Stadium, situated in Brakpan, has a capacity of 5,000 and has been in use since 2015.
The Banyana players believe they deserve a more suitable and prestigious location to mark their journey toward the World Cup.
Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, Zizi Kodwa, as well as Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi had been roped in to save the situation. They had already engaged with SAFPU, pleading with them to convince the players to honour the game.
However, reports have gathered that it appeared impossible that all parties would find each other with just a few hours left before kick-off.
Banyana Banyana suffered a heavy defeat against Botswana, losing 5-0.
