You can now collect your meds from the Post Office, but pharmacists have some concerns about this development...
The South African Post Office has launched a new service. The public can collect their chronic medication from their offices.
However, pharmacists have raised serious questions about how this medication is stored and handled at these Post Offices.

The Post Office hasn't made a profit in more than 10 years, which is a worry in itself. In some centres, payment of rent hasn't been met, while the performance remains well below target.
So with this, the Post Office can breathe a slow sigh of relief with some much-needed funds coming in with this new service.

Pharmacists, however, are concerned with the transport, handling, and storage of scheduled medicines by the Post Office. These medications are carefully regulated in South Africa. There are questions on whether the SAPO can meet these stringent requirements.
Only time will truly tell...
