Match official assaulted at Northern Cape school derby

Another viral moment regarding a high school sports game...
There has been another controversial moment in school sports.
This time it happened in the Northern Cape, where a match official at a high school game was assaulted. The incident took place at Daniëlskuil High School in the Northern Cape, which falls under the Griquas Rugby Union.

This was where a match official was assaulted by teachers and supporters of the school. The incident went viral on Twitter after many people had voiced their complaints and started retweeting the incident.

The entire incident was condemned by the Griquas Rugby Union,. The Kimberly-based union didn't mention the action that will be taken against the school.
The union was quick to release their statement to the public the moment they caught onto what had happened.

This comes after the cancellation of the high school derby day between Michaelhouse and St John's College. The cancellation came after a Michaelhouse first team hockey player was alleged to have used a racial slur against a St John's opponent on Friday.
