Making Africa proud: Ndlovu Youth Choir shine bright in final of 'America's Got Talent'

The stellar performers are up against nine other contestants who are all singing and performing it out for the grand prize of $1-million (over R14,7-million).

In their bright yellow outfits, they performed the song 'Africa' by 'Toto' which completely shocked the judges and indeed the whole world. The choir says that the song was selected to unify our country and if not, the world.

They shared a video of their performance on Twitter which has been shared far and wide. 

"Tonight we were proud young ambassadors of a united Africa. Africa has the worlds youngest population and our hope is that our performance reflected the talent, opportunity and potential of millions of young people. One nation, one continent. #Africa #Agt," they tweeted on their Twitter account.

Darren was blown away by their performance after seeing it.

"They filled the stage with their bright yellow jumpsuits. They looked like Simba from 'The Lion King'. It was just the most epic thing. There is a uniqueness to our African voices. We can win this," he said.

Their performance of Whitney Houston's 'Higher Love' secured them a spot in the final. Now, it's up to America to decide their fate. Voting is currently underway. The winner will be announced at 2:00am on Thursday, 19th September 2019 South African time.
