It has been a tough time for South Africans following the passing of Kiernan Forbes, globally known as AKA.
More so for his friends and colleagues who have worked with him for years.

AKA left us with an amazing body of work, with his posthumous album, 'Mass Country', debuting at number one.
As the album continues to break records, the Breakfast team decided to call in on one of AKA's close friends and someone whom he considered a living legend of the hip-hop industry.
DKS sat down with the original motswakoriginator hitmaker and pioneer of hip-hop, Khulu Chana.

The next special friend East Coast Breakfast managed to get a hold of was Yanga Chief.
The multi-talented musician and record producer sat down with Darren, Keri, and Sky to talk about the loss of his fallen friend and global icon AKA.

Yanga also discusses 'Ease', a song from 'Mass Country'.
The Mthatha-born rapper has worked with AKA on a number of projects in the past.
They shared a close bond over the years and Yanga even spoke at AKA's memorial on Friday, 17 February.
According to Apple music, 'Mass Country' is AKA's fifth studio album. It has 14 songs.

It features Blxckie, Emtee, Manana, Yanga Chief, Sjava, 031 Choppa, S.O.N, Laylizzy, Weathrd and Thato Saul.
One song on the album features AKA's girlfriend at the time of his death, Nadia Nakai, who is also an award-winning rapper.
