Basketball legend Kobe Bryant and daughter die in helicopter crash

According to the New York Times,  He was travelling in his private helicopter when a fire broke out sending the chopper spiralling from the sky. It occurred around 10am in the morning, the chopper sparked a bush fire on impact which hampered rescue efforts.

There were no survivors, and the cause of the crash is under investigation, according to TMZ.

Authorities investigating the crash confirmed to KTLA – Channel 5 that at least five people were killed in the crash, but did not identify the victims by name.
