Kim Kardashian's Skims scores big with Tokyo Olympics gig
Reality TV star, Kim Kardashian West, shared that all Team USA women will be be clothed in Skims at the Olympics.
Kim Kardashian West shared on her social media platforms that her shapewear company, Skims, is the official designer underwear for Team USA women at the Tokyo Olympics. We have to give it to her this time, this is a huge win for her!
We have previously seen that the reality TV star and entrepreneur filed for a divorce from rapper Kanye West in February. Despite this unfortunate situation, she has something worth celebrating in her corner with this gig.
Her post on social media described that Skims would design the team's underwear, pyjamas, and loungewear.
The company was founded in 2018 and has since been received well by athleisure lovers.
In another announcement post, Kardashian West recalled hearing about the Olympics from her stepdad and former Olympian, Caitlyn Jenner.
"As I would watch the athletes compete, I would grow to understand the dedication and honour being a part of the Olympics embodied," she says, adding she travelled with him and her family to all the different Olympic cities where she competed.

"When I received the call inviting Skims to be a part of @TeamUSA, every moment I've spent admiring the strength and energy of the Olympians from the sidelines came full circle," she added.

Five Team USA athletes modelled the official garments in the announcement, including basketball player A'ja Wilson, swimmer Haley Anderson, and Paralympic sprinter Scout Bassett.

Kimono was the initial name of the what is now 'Skims'. She changed the name following cultural appropriation accusations.
Skims offers underwear and loungewear in the founder's signature minimalist style, and has proven successful during the work-from-home era.
