If you don't have any bicarbonate of soda in your kitchen cupboard, here are 10 reasons why you should get it now!
Bicarbonate of soda is a product most of us have in the cupboard at home.
Here are 10 great uses for this little wonder product that will have you buying bicarb in bulk in no time at all.
1. Clean hairbrushes and combs easily by soaking them in a mixture of one teaspoon bicarb and a
small amount of warm water. Rinse and dry.
2. Freshen rugs/mats/carpets by sprinkling bicarb on the surface, wait at least 15 minutes (if you
can let it sit overnight, do that), then vacuum up.
3. Brighten a dull floor finish by dissolving ½ cup bicarb in a bucket of warm water. Mop, rinse, and
voila, you have a shiny floor!
4. Put out the flames of a grease fire by scattering bicarb over it by the handful.
5. To shine tarnished silver, combine three parts bicarb with one part water. Rub this mixture onto
your silver with a clean cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
6. Keep your kitty litter box smelling fresh by sprinkling bicarb into the box, then add the kitty litter
on top of the bicarb to keep smells to a minimum. You can also make your own DIY kitty litter by
mixing a box of bicarb with 8cms of sandy clay.
