Why did this pastor deny victims of the natural disaster a place of refuge?
A Texan megachurch pastor, Joel Osteen, has finally opened his church to the #HurricaneHarvey victims after a public outcry.
The church and its arena has not suffered any flood damage, despite the pastor's claims that it was not in any condition to house people.
Thousands of families have been left stranded after strong winds, floods, and rain damaged homes, infrastructure, and public facilities in Texas.
The millionaire televangelist denied the public access to his 16,800-seat arena, saying it was not in a condition to house any of the 30,000+ people in need of shelter. However, Texans were having none of it and started going to the church and taking video evidence that what the pastor claimed was false.
