#HotSeat: Snehlanhla Makhubu is a surfing sensation
Updated | By Sky Tshabalala
This week we did things a little differently on East Coast Breakfast's #Hotseat by celebrating up-and-coming sporting youngsters in KZN.
Snehlanhla Makhubu is a surfer who is bound for bigger and better things. She started surfing when she was nine thanks to her father, who introduced her to the sport.
At the age of 15, she has already achieved some amazing things. She won the Nahoon Junior Pro in the u16s category and came second in the Billabong Series.
It hasn't been easy for Sne in her short career because surfing is a self-sustained sport, and you need to buy equipment to compete, which is not cheap. She used to get laughed at by her rivals at competitions because she wore men's second hand wetsuits and had an old, half-broken surfboard.
She is currently preparing for the World Junior Champs happening in the Japan in September and needs YOUR help getting there.

We wish you all the best, Sne.
