How does one even justify this?
Okay, look, we understand that having a fancy cellphone like an iPhone is cool and all, but is it really worth doing this?
When Carmen Reddy saw this wild story on Instagram, you know she had to share it.

According to the instantbollywood Instagram account, a couple in West Bengal who wanted to get their hands on the new iPhone 14 sold their baby to purchase it.
If that's not bad enough, you won't believe why they wanted to purchase this phone. Carmen's jaw dropped the moment she found out why this couple did something this unthinkable...
"They wanted the cellphone so that they could make cool Instagram reels while traveling across Bengal," says Carmen.
The couple, both in their mid-twenties, were bitten by the Instagram bug and dreamt of becoming travel influencers.

Their aspiration was not simply to share their experiences and beautiful moments with the world, but to join the ranks of those who have amassed a massive following and secured lucrative sponsorships.
Instead of saving up or finding alternative ways to purchase the phone, the couple succumbed to desperation and hatched a shocking plan.
Driven by the belief that an iPhone 14 would catapult them to Instagram stardom, they decided to sell their most precious possession - their six-month-old baby.

Further reports suggest that they turned to the dark web to find potential buyers for their innocent child.
This illegal and morally reprehensible act was met with immediate backlash from both the online and offline communities.
When authorities caught wind of the situation, they launched an investigation, leading to the couple's arrest.
