Shortly after the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) handed down its judgment, setting aside Zuma's release on medical parole last year by former corrections boss Arthur Fraser, the DA's lawyers wrote a letter demanding he is back behind bars by 17:00 on Friday afternoon.

The South African national anthem could be heard through the streets of London as President Cyril Ramaphosa, King Charles III, and Queen Consort Camilla’s golden carriage made its way to Buckingham Palace’s red carpet. Fortunately, none of the Nicole Magolie, Kurt Darren, Ard Matthews, or Ras Dumisani versions were used.

Kanye West's Twitter account has been reinstated during Elon Musk's takeover of the social networking app. Coincidentally, Ye also shared his second bid for the presidency on Sunday before controversially tweeting "Shalom", with a smiley face emoji. This was after he was banned from the platform following his anti-Semitic sentiments.
Twitter boss Elon Musk has postponed the relaunch of paid verification on the platform, extending a suspension he previously said would end this month. Hopefully, indefinitely.

In the current climate on social media, there is a discerning number of commentators who are pushing for pit bulls to be banned in South Africa. So when the lead singer of MiCasa, J’Something, voiced his opinion, it didn’t go down well.
In now-deleted tweets, J’Something posted a picture of his dog, with the caption “izinja ze game”, which translates to dogs of the game.
