Democratic Alliance (DA) leader John Steenhuisen says the party intends to institute legal action against the eThekwini Metro for the alleged violation of human rights and environmental laws because of its failure to fix several sewerage treatment plants.

More than 150 people have died after a stampede during Halloween celebrations in South Korea's capital. Videos from Seoul's Itaewon district show body bags on the streets, emergency workers performing CPR, and rescuers trying to pull out people trapped beneath others. It is not known what caused the crush.

Zulu King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, the 9th monarch of the kingdom, has spelt out his long-term vision after fully taking over the Zulu throne on Saturday in Durban. The young king once again promised to rebuild the nation, forge unity with other nations, and be honest while carrying out his leadership duties.

The SA Social Security Agency (SASSA) has warned the public about a fake post that has been circulating on social media claiming that a R700 grant application form for 2022 is out. The post encourages citizens to apply for the grant through online registration, however, the link is not from the agency.
