On Sunday, the KwaZulu-Natal provincial government said it was roping in experts to understand the “minor earthquakes” which have reportedly shaken the province over the last two days. Did you feel the tremor in Durban over the weekend?

A number of car manufacturers are among the companies to have paused advertising with Twitter after Elon Musk took over. Musk, who once tweeted “I hate advertising”, said that General Motors and Volkswagen are among them. Ad sales accounts for more than 90% of Twitter's revenue.

News just in... all of Durban’s public pools shut over chemical shortages. “Twenty-nine swimming pools in the city remain closed due to a shortage of these chemicals, during a time where we are fast approaching the holiday season,” the DA in KZN told IOL.

Zimbabwe’s first satellite, named ZimSat-1, was launched on Sunday. ZimSat-1 will help Zimbabwe with land, water, and mineral mapping, including weather forecasting, infrastructure planning, border security, and disaster prevention. The development comes 23 years after South Africa launched the first African satellite, SunSat-1 in 1999.
