We're a few hours away from saying hello to 2017, and we thought be provide you with some helpful tips and tricks to make your transition to the new year a smooth and safe one.
1. Make sure your pets are in a safe place
New Year celebrations guarantee fireworks for days before and after New year's eve. Find a safe place to keep your pets so they're not terrified by the noise and hurt by the fireworks

2. Make sure that you're done with your shopping a few days before New year's eve - avoid the traffic and long queues at shops. This will give you more time to make those amazing salads and get the braai ready.

3. Make sure you resolve any relationships that need attention, whether you chose to mend or move on find peace with as many things in your life so you go into the new year with a fresh start.

4. Make a list of your New year's resolutions early before the festivities begin. This way you'll make well thought out resolutions you'll actually keep track of.
5. Make sure you're at a safe venue to celebrate 2017 way before midnight, and before there are any drinks involved. If you're going out, make sure you leave home early so you avoid traffic and reckless drivers/driving. If you're home, close windows and doors of rooms not occupied to ensure your saftey and keep watch of strangers.
