Breakfast team reacts to Durban beachfront soon to undergo huge transformation
Changes are coming for Durban's beach front.
So the Breakfast team just got back to Durban after they had endured a week like no other.
When the team arrived back at KZN after traveling to Gauteng to get their new co-host, they stumbled upon the news about the beachfront in Durban.

The Durban beachfront, renowned for its picturesque coastline and vibrant atmosphere, is about to undergo a remarkable transformation.
In a move that has both locals and tourists buzzing with anticipation, the eThekwini Municipality has set its sights on giving the iconic beachfront a refreshing facelift.
According to news reports on IOL, Bike and Bean, Circus Circus, and Mini Town have been issued with notices to vacate their premises.
This is because they must make way for the new developments that would be starting.
While this may come as a surprise to many, it's an essential step towards the realisation of the municipality's ambitious plans.
The transformation aims to elevate the beachfront experience to new heights, ensuring that it remains a top destination for years to come.

The decision to issue notices to vacate has sparked mixed reactions among beachgoers. More so was Carmen Reddy as she hadn't been to the beach in Durban for a long time since she was based in Johannesburg.
"It's quite sad that so many places are having to close down due to the developments the municipality want to do but I'm only hoping through this that jobs will be created and something exciting will come from this", says Carmen.

Some view it as a necessary sacrifice for progress, understanding the long-term benefits that lie ahead.
Others express concerns about losing their favorite spots, worried that the facelift might compromise the unique charm and character of the beachfront.
Ethekwini Municipality head of communication, Lindiwe Khuzwayo, had mentioned that places like Circus Circus are managing the transition together with the new lessee with very little involvement from the municipality.
"We have had meetings with Mini Town, and they will continue to operate until the construction starts, which will be most likely next year. The City is currently looking at various options for them," says Lindiwe.
The last month comes after Durban Funworld, the iconic beachfront facility, closed its operations on May 1 after being part of the Golden Mile for more than 50 years.
