In today's Big Favour, we meet Zandisiwe Mtanyana; a 21-year-old student who is the daughter of a single mom.

Zandisiwe's mom is unemployed and is battling to make ends meet.

Take a listen to Zandisiwe talk to Darren about the difficulty she has had to endure:

In 2015, Zandisiwe's mother had bought a room on Palmeit Road in Clare Estate, Durban, which is an informal settlement.

They as a family have been living there since.

In 2017, Zandisiwe passed grade 12 with a Bachelors pass and obtained a distinction.

Back in 2019, she applied to a tertiary college and got accepted, to which the tuition fees were paid by NSFAS

This year, unfortunately, the bursary stopped paying the fees, claiming that her mother's income exceeds what NSFAS had stipulated from the start.
