This amazing app brings sight to the visually imapaired in the coolest way!
Technology has made almost anything and everything possible. Yes, some things are not so pleasant but we need to appreciate all the great possibilities it has created.
This app, Be My Eyes, was started in Denmark in 2012 by Hans Jørgen Wiberg, a Danish furniture craftsman, who is visually impaired himself. It has since grown with up to 5 million volunteers.

There is honestly nothing better than having people come together and help others in this way. In 2017 it was chosen as Google Play Best Apps of 2017 in the categories; “Most Innovative”, “Best Daily Helper” and “Best Hidden Gem”.
They also won in 2018 the Google Play Award 2018 for “Best Accessibility Award”.
People are still using it and lending their eyes to people who are most in need of it at that particular time.
I just answered my first call on @BeMyEyes and it was another South African!!! What a wonderful piece of technology to help other people, and what a joy to offer help!!!
