Actress Sonia Mbele blames ex husband for quitting Generations

The veteran actress opened up about her unhappy marriage and messy divorce.
Sonia Mbele (previously Sedibe) was at some point Mzansi's favourite actress, but all of that came to a sudden end and fans have always wondered why.
The former Generations star who played the role of Ntombi Khumalo-Dlomo has finally opened up about leaving the sudser.

Joining Phat Joe on his controversial, no-holds-barred show - Cheeky Palate - Mbele revealed that she was forced to quit her role on the SABC 1 soapie by her ex-husband Leslie Sedibe, the former chief executive officer of the South African Football Association (SAFA).
According to Mbele, Sedibe did not like the on-screen romance between her character Ntombi and love interest on the soapie, Sibusiso Dlomo - played by veteran actor Menzi Ngubane.

She further revealed that he was so controlling that he would not allow her to watch herself on the show.
An emotional Mbele tried to hold back the tears when she spoke about the abusive relationship she was in.
"When you wake up and then feel like ‘I love you today, but then I hate you tomorrow’ type of thing. It doesn’t make sense how it could be that ugly," she said.
Mbele and Sedibe eventually called it quits in 2014 after eight years of marriage and three children together.
