Fifteen-year-old Nicolette called US talk show host and psychologist, Dr Phil in hopes that he would help her get through to her mum for putting the brakes on her $100,000 (about R1,3-million) a year lifestyle.
Nicolette's mum chopped her allowance from $5000 (about R68,000) a month to $1000 (about R13,000) a month, and it's safe to say the teen was not having it.
Take a look at the teen's story below.
During the interview, she went on to say that she needs a G-Wagon over a Mercedez C-Class. She also added: "I grew up on a certain lifestyle. She can't just take that away from me immediately."
Parents, what are your thoughts on giving your kids pocket money? Should they earn it, or are you expected to give it to them?
